French Toast

This will make enough French toast for 1 or 2, but of course you can easily double or triple it as needed.

French toast

1 egg, lightly beaten

1/2 cup milk

dash nutmeg

pinch salt

2-4 slices bread (depending on thickness)

butter, for frying pan

Mix ingredients (except bread) in a wide shallow bowl or dish. Soak each slice of bread in the egg mixture on both sides. Melt butter in frying pan over medium/medium-low heat and fry bread until golden on both sides.
