Spaghetti with Lemon and Basil

A simple but delicious lemony pasta.

Cook ½ lb. spaghetti or angel hair pasta in salted water.


¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

2 ½ Tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tsp lemon zest

1 garlic clove, minced to a paste with some salt

Add ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese. Add mixture to drained spaghetti with 1 Tbsp butter and 2 Tbsp shredded fresh basil and fresh ground pepper.

    This recipe works really well with potatoes too…I made lemon basil potato salad in the summer because I was looking for a gluten free dish to share at a potluck. I even bought some basil seeds to grow because I made it so often. Can’t wait to try out these flavours in pasta!
