Stuffing (Turkey or Chicken)

My favorite stuffing of all stuffings.


7 cups soft bread, cut into cubes

½ cup butter, melted

2 ½ tsp. poultry seasoning or sage

2 tsp. celery salt

1/3 tsp. pepper

½ cup onion, chopped

Combine all ingredients.  Stuff chicken or turkey.  Make extra and place separately in a greased dish. Cover and cook the last 30 minutes or so at about 325-350 (or whatever temperature you are cooking the turkey at). Mix the stuffing from the bird with the stuffing cooked separately.

    Don’t forget the cranberry sauce! One package (3 cups) fresh or frozen cranberries, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1 tsp grated orange peel. Mix all together, boil gently until berries pop, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool and refrigerate.
